Bible Reading: Acts 23: 1- 34

I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest,” replied Paul. “For it is written, You must not speak evil of a ruler of your people. Acts 23:5 CSB

Many Christian find it easy to talk about their leader. Many a time we criticise our leaders when they do wrong. In this case,  we discovered that the high priests, which is the  Pastor was doing something that was against apostle Paul. He condemned Paul for preaching the gospel. Paul opened his mouth and spoke bad word against God’s high priest. When Paul was informed that he was God’s high priest, he apologized and asked for forgiveness. the high Priest was doing bad things and yet Paul repented for speaking against the high Priest. How much more when we speak against pastors for things we are not sure of. Many Christians have used their mouth to speak against men of God and has received greater condemnation and curses. We should make apology for our careless words. Speak no evil of our ruler. To obey is better than sacrifice. Let us be careful of what we hear and say to our spouses and church members concerning our leaders.

Prayer Point: In the name of Jesus I refuse to misuse my tongue
