Fear Not The Storm is Over | Daily Devotional

Bible Reading: Luke 8:1-56

Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there was calm.  Luke 8:24(b)

There is no life without a storm.  Storms are forces of hindrances, limitations, delays, etc. Their purpose is to stop you from getting to your destiny.  As soon as Jesus told the disciples “Let us go over unto the other side of the lake” the enemy set in to stop them. A storm was raised. Most times, when we set to start a project, an assignment, the enemy stirs up a storm to stop us. Is it because of sin?  No. The disciples were not living in sin. There are times God allows certain traits in our lives, even as righteous men and women to test our level of faith in him.  As soon as Jesus woke up, the first thing he asked the disciples was, where is your faith?  He had expected them to rebuke the storm and stop it without involving him.  They did not need to fear. All they needed to do was to invoke the authority in the name of Jesus to stop the storm.  By the power and authority in the name of Jesus, no storm of life can stop you from crossing over into your rest.   Your heavens are opened.  Jesus has given you rest.

Prayer Point: Every storm of my life is hereby terminated in Jesus name
