FEED MY SHEEP
Bible Reading: John 21: 1-25
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. John 21:16
Here we see Jesus asking Peter, if he loved Him. he gave Jesus a positive answer, then Jesus said he should feed his sheep. To follow is to imitate, copy and take the steps of the leader so that you can do what he is doing. If we must follow Jesus we are expected to feed the sheep. This involve, teaching, training, instruction, correction and praying for them. Although God’s ministers should be more involved in things, but the fact remains that the job of being your brother’s keeper is every believer’s assignment. We should therefore be involved in feeding the sheep. There is no use carrying negative information about the sin your Christian brother is involved in. Your duty is to meet with him and share the word of God with him, not in “holier than thou” attitude but in love. We commit the greater sin if we carry information of a brother’s fault to others. We should restore someone who has fallen in the spirit of love.
Prayer Point: Lord pour the spirit of love and fellowship upon the church.
