Bible Reading: 1 Corinthian 16: 1-24
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13
Paul ended the last chapter with a challenge not to quit from the work of God because our Labour is not in vain. We know the work of God is full of challenges but God promised that He is our Shepherd. In this chapter Paul told the Christians at Corinthians about the importance of collection of offering on Sundays. We should be ready to give our tithes and offering. As we serve the Lord, we should stand in faith and be courageous. We are expected to do everything in love. We should not give room to bitterness, envy and anger. We should not allow anything to distract our faith. In the midst of lack and difficulty we should be strong in the Lord. Just as Paul concluded his first epistle to the Corinthians in verse 16, “also to submit to such people, and to everyone who works and labors with them” we should honor those who minister the word and pray for them. May God keep your faith to the end so you will meet the Lord at last. May the grace of God rest upon you.
Prayer Point: Lord, give me wisdom and might to enter into my glory as I receive strength to completely depend on you.
